The PWG-II injects an acoustic pulse wave into the pipe, which makes up to 600meters of pipework detectable. The system is simply connected onto the pipe from the meter, valve, hydrant, or top tee. The battery powered unit is switched on and the acoustic waves are injected into the pipe. Using any ground microphone such as the FAST Aqua M-Series, the noise from the pipe can be located, and the subsequent line of the pipe traced.
